Hi! I'm Katie—the owner, buyer, occasional model, professional hype girl, and heart behind EK The Boutique.
If you're going to shop here, I think it's only fair that you know a few things about the person behind it all.
🌈 1. I believe getting dressed should be FUN.
Life has enough serious moments. Color, sparkle, and a great outfit can completely change how you show up in your day. Fashion should make you smile—not stress you out.
💖 2. "Wear the Energy. Share the Kindness." isn't just our motto.
It's how I try to live.
I want EK to be the kind of place that leaves people feeling a little happier than when they found us.
🍸 3. My favorite drink is a dirty martini... not coffee.
I know. I know. A boutique owner without an emotional support iced coffee? It's unusual.
❤️ 4. I married my childhood sweetheart.
I still have the love letter he wrote me in first grade.
Somehow... it worked.
😎 5. I'm a mom to three teenagers.
Miraculously, they still think I'm cool. I have absolutely no idea how I pulled that off... but I'm not asking questions.
🩵 6. Mental health isn't just something I care about—it's something I live.
I have OCD.
I've also experienced depression, suicidal ideation, and psychiatric hospitalization.
Today, I'm living a life in recovery, which means learning to embrace uncertainty instead of trying to control it. It's not always easy, but it's one of the greatest gifts I've ever been given.
If sharing my story helps even one person feel a little less alone or a little more hopeful, it's always worth it.
✝️ 7. Jesus is the reason I have hope.
Not because life has been easy, but because He's been faithful through every hard season.
My joy isn't found in perfect circumstances—it's found in Him.
😂 8. I think laughter is one of God's greatest gifts.
If we're together, there's a very good chance we're laughing until we cry.
Life is simply better when we're laughing.
✨ 9. I care more about quality than quantity.
If I wouldn't wear it, wash it, recommend it to my best friend, or be excited to see you wearing it months from now... you won't find it at EK.
We hand-select every collection because life is too short for clothes that fall apart after one wash.
