How to Style Our Pamela Shell Maxi

For as long as Elise and I have had VH, every time we order some type of bangle bracelet or giant acrylic bracelet, I’ve told her, “Oh my goodness this is my future! Me, in a gorgeous caftan, a huge stack of bangles, oversized hoop earrings, and a martini by the pool!!!”

I can’t wait, and also, the WAIT IS OVER!!!!! Introducing our Pamela Shell Maxi. This garment is gorgeous. From the luxe brand, Buddy Love, no detail was forgotten. Fully lined and still super lightweight. Subtle gold detail is the perfect amount of sparkle with the grey and blush pattern. Extra high slit is still appropriate, but let’s be honest, it makes you feel all sorts of young and vibrant. Ties at the neckline can be worn open or tied, and elastic at the sleeves.

At first glance, you might think, this is a very specific dress and not versatile enough for your wardrobe. Please allow me to respectfully disagree! Here’s 2 ways that I plan to wear it on a regular basis.

I think I can officially meet the diagnostic criteria of a sneaker head. Yes, I said diagnostic criteria, and no, I did not misspeak. Because it’s a PROBLEM! But one that I love too much! Our new Serenity Sneaker by Vintage Havana is perfect for this dress. The all white shoe with black and silver accents literally goes with everything. Tip: We recommend sizing up one size! Pairing this dress with a sneaker instantly shifts it to a street style look, but I used the rest of my accessories to drive it home. I chose our Silver BudhaGirl Bangles to pick up the silver in the sneaker. One of the best parts of the silver set of bangles is that the brass closure is a gorgeous gold color that will patina with age. A testament to the quality of these bangles!! So for those of you that new to mixing metals, have no fear. While it is totally ok to mix metallics, the silver set with gold accents allowed me to mimic the silver in the sneaker and the gold in the dress! For my earrings I added our lightweight easy-to-wear Lightning Bolts from Nickel & Suede. We are sold out (Nickel & Suede sells out every time!!) of the Lightning Bolts, so I have linked the Junos and the Superstars which give you the same edgy look of the lightning bolt!

Here it is, the outfit I’ve been dreaming of!! For this look I went with all bright gold accessories. I chose our Belinda Sandals for a bright gold slide that is comfortable but still pops with that single wide strap! (The sandals actually just sold out, but we have a mule coming out soon that will also complete this look!! Be ready!!) Our Large Twisted Hoops in gold were the perfect option for earrings because giant hoops just say QUEEN in my opinion!!!! And then of course, a stack of the original gold BudhaGirl Bangles for the ultimate martini-holding experience!

While my video shows my first 2 looks, this blog would not be complete without a glam fit. Swap the sneakers and flats for our Eloisa Heel. Four inches of mixed metallic platform heel perfection. But here’s the cool part, because the platform is two inches and the heel is 4 inches, you are really only dealing with a two inch lift. So for those of us that can’t do heels like we used to, these are legit. To uplevel this look, I would add a long dangle earring with a touch of sparkle! Our Climbing Diamond Earrings are long enough to accomplish a glam look without overpowering it. For the finishing piece, I would go with our Champagne BudhaGirl Bangles. These bangles have a touch of pink that will beautifully complement the blush in the dress without looking matchy matchy. Simple. Elegant. Glam!!

Ok, now where are we going?! Because we are all stepping out in one of these looks!!!!

XOXO, Katie
